Cleansing Tips From Our Nutrition Expert!

Now that the holidays are over, It is the perfect time to detox and cleanse your body from the inside out. Many everyday foods are also natural cleansers; helping the body to naturally detoxify and repair—resulting in weight loss increased energy and glowing skin.

  • Kale has recently become a super star – in everything from kale chips, to juices, to salads. Its powerful anti-cancer, and antioxidant compounds help cleanse the body of harmful substances. Kale is also high in fiber, which helps cleanse the intestinal tract leaving the skin glowing.
  • Apples not only help keep the doctor away, but helps to beat stomach bloat. Apples are high in pectin, a type of fiber that binds to cholesterol and heavy metals in the body, once they bind, they wash out toxic build up leaving us feeling light and radiant.
  • Avocados are nutritional powerhouses. They contain a nutrient called glutathione, which blocks at least thirty different carcinogens while helping the liver detoxify synthetic chemicals. Also they are loaded with omega three fatty acids which help the skin glow.

For a super star cleansing salad, mix kale, avocado
and chopped apples, and squeeze on some fresh lemon juice!
